The Golf Capital Chorus is men's barbershop chorus in Pinehurst, NC. The barbershop harmony is a unique style of music due to the close harmonies, 4-part arrangements, and the a capella nature. Barbershop was popularized in American culture in the 1910s and 1920s before the invention of the home radio, and small bands of impromptu singing group gave birth to these unique harmonies.
Although many standard barbershop tunes are from that original era, barbershop harmony is a style applied to all songs. At the Golf Capital Chorus, we take pride in singing a mix of old and new tunes, across all genres of music.
Every year we put on an annual show in November, and the proceeds from this show and our other events benefit local charities. The chorus has contributed over $150,000 to the Sandhills Children's Center and has donated more than $500,000 to local family and children charities since our founding.
